This version of the dads did not pass Brian's approval. They were too weak looking. He wanted big buff super hero-ey style dads, which you will see in the comic. Ollie totally agreed and did a follow up sketch that passed judgement and was used for the comic. Fun fact, the dad wearing the cowboy boots and short shorts is styled after Brian himself. The drawings of the dads were done in North Carolina on a month long road trip. That little sketchbook did some traveling around.
